The Sanskrit meaning of the word Yoga is union of the individual self with the Supreme Self (Original Cause) in a loving, harmonious relationship. The aim of the different yoga processes or schools is to ultimately help the individual achieve complete harmony. The different systems of yoga have techniques and practices ranging from physical postures (asanas), to the deepest stages of meditation, all aimed toward helping a person achieve optimum physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing.

MEDITATION

The practice of meditation has been shown to produce many health rewards, however, the real benefit of meditation is spiritual. Through kirtan, japa or mantra meditation, one can realize their true identity, overcome the fear of death, and become reestablished in their eternal loving relationship with the Supreme.  This is the real and ultimate benefit of true meditation.  Our Meditation classes are given free of charge. YOGA PHILOSOPHY

What does it mean to become a true yogi? What is our true identity, and why are we here? How does one learn to live in the material world, but rise above the chaos?  The answers to these, and many other questions can be found in the teaching of the great sages and saintly persons.  Together, we can study their teachings and the instructions found in the ancient Vedic scriptures.
